Affiliate Marketing/Commission Junction question?

May 6, 2009 - 12:00 am 4 Comments

NEWBIE ALERT * NEWBIE ALERT

Hi,

I'm trying affiliate marketing for the first time. I'm confused as to my final step.

I have done everything for a site that will promote a product EXCEPT place the affiliate links. Pretty smart, huh?

My affiliate product is through commission junction. I have a cj user #. Let's say it's 12345

I'm thinking that the link will be
www.productname.com/12345

Is this correct?

If not, where do I get the link for the page. I want to embed this link into my text, I don't want their slogans, banners, etc.

Thanks to anyone who can help me.

I will assume that you have applied to various programs in Commission Junction and your site has been approved by these programs (otherwise the first step is to choose the program you want to promote)

1. Log into CJ.com

2. On the tabs at the top, click on GET LINKS

3. Below that tab, a new set of tab will appear. Click on BY RELATIONSHIP (this is the set of advertisers where you have already been approved)

4. Choose the products you want and click on VIEW LINKS. It will be shown like this:

TaxBrain Online Tax Service » View Links
VistaPrint.com » View Links
CoutureCandy.com » View Links » View Products

5. For example, you clicked on VistaPrint VIEW LINKS, you will be taken to a page where you can find ALL types of banners and text links that VistaPrint has and that you can use. Go to the last column that says GET LINKS and click on either

Get JavaScript
Get HTML

6. A popup will appear where you can configure the link and get the code that you will put on your website. You can choose to encrypt the link, to use the link in your email, hide tracking code in the link and set link to open in a new browser window.

Note that you need to use the code EXACTLY as it is otherwise CJ.com might not be able to properly track your impressions and sales.

Who is a memember of commission junction? and who uses google adwords to promote affiliate programs?

Without using a website? And how much do you make in month? for promoting one company? how much do you invest?

great question, i actually am an affiliate with the internet marketing center (which is spreading throughout the internet as the most trusted companies out there) check them out on alexa.com and read their ratings (the website is www.marketingtips.com.

once you check that out, go here and see if you want to build an automatic-money making program in which whoever is your sub-affiliate will earn cash, but you earn a bit of the percentage also!! but everybody gets paid once a month and it is VERY legit and easier than all of that running around and large start ups. go here

Any good web design affiliate programs?

May 3, 2009 - 2:52 pm 1 Comment

I am not good at web design but would still like to offer web design services. Do you know of any companies that offer a commission per sale for a website? I do not want to create a website and have an affiliate link, I would rather go to local businesses and see if they are interested in having a website created for them.

So basically I go to a business, see if they want a website. If they do, somehow I can refer them to a company and make a certain amount per sale.

Do you have any companies in mind?

I do know of a company that offers commission per sale. You can find some of these companies for yourself online. The one that I know of allows you to market offline easily. I unfortunately can not go into detail because of Yahoo Answers policies on solicitation. You also do not provide contact through your profile. Rest assured there are options that fit your interests.

Anyone know a good Jet affiliate program?

April 30, 2009 - 1:09 am 2 Comments

I have a site on private jet charter and from viewing my site analytics the majority of visitors are interested in chartering a private jet, but I'm also getting people that are looking to buy Learjets and Gulfstream jets. I can see a big opprtunity here as these things cost millions of dollars and commissions could be huge. Does anyone know of a good jet sales affiliate program?

If my memory serves me correctly, I think there is a jet chartering company at Commission Junction (www.cj.com). As far as buying jets, you would probably have to set up an arrangement with a Jet dealer. Perhaps they would pay you if a referral resulted in a purchase.

We are a member of commission junction affiliate program. We pay $8-$20 for every customer. We also offer discount coupons to our publishers for better CTR and conversions. We are trying to add our coupons to websites but we are facing a lot of issues.

We contacted the webmasters and owner of these discount sites but we didn’t receive any replies. What should we be doing to submit our coupons in coupon sites?

thanks
Deepak Kaushik

Hi Deepak

I'm an affiliate with CJ myself. I may even be one of your affiliates.I use the banners and coupons all the time without any problem. Contact me through my profile link and let me know what your product is. Maybe I could join your program, if it is relevant to one of my sites, and test the links for you.

Also you may want to try posting some of your coupons with
